A look at Thursday Nights show: Howard had the numbers 1-9-06 all over him. This date that he starts on SIRIUS. (Jan 9 2006)
- Howards interview was as expected.- He talked about SIRIUS programming, Sirius equipment. (Did not show anything off)
- He held up a promo picture of Howard 100 News department.
- Did not talk about new logo for the channels. (as Howard 100 has been reporting he would) could this be the new logo on his arm?!?!?!?!? (thanks "Dead Messiah" for the large look at the logo)
- No new news about programming
- Over all a very big SIRIUS plug..
- There was also a SIRIUS Ad during the show, it was the blue one here but the tag at the end was about Howard Stern..

Did he have the S50?
While he didn't reference it, Howard's new logo was on the sleeve of his jacket.

A little disappointed based on all the hype. I expected strippers to come out w/ S50's taped to their boobs.
WHY the hell didn't Howard even SHOW an S50? It's supposed to be THE product for SIRI that launches us past XM?
The ad was same ol' blue screen ad. No S50 sexy ad.
Lastly, the commercial should have aired IMMEDIATELY after Howard's interview w/ a www or 800 # to call for more information.
On the other hand XM did all of that for the Apprentice. As a SIRI shareholder I'm not impressed.
I agree something was missing, It was not up to the hype that Howard 100 was making it.. It was a good interview and SIRIUS got lots of FREE air time, but showing a radio would have been nice.. I hope we see some other AD then that blue one...

Whole thing, as usuak, was a let down. A lot of hype for what?
Between Sirius and XM, Sirius should really fire their marketing department.
Sirius has ONE piece of equipment that is on par with XM and they DON'T roll it out?

Maybe if Howard spent less time claiming to invent everything including 'Unplugged' and more time promoting, Sirius might get somewhere. Problme is Howard is such an ego and his yes men and woman around him don't help. He ASSUMES the world listens to him and will Jump on Sirius. His Loyal fans will, but will he bring non Stern people to Sirius? Doubtful.
