Can you use the S50 to record a program like the Howard Stern show, would it work like a Tivo? Also could you then transfer the recorded show to your computer?

Hannibal6152,

you can set it up to record your favorite show while in the docking station. it is smart enough to know if it is docked in the home or car. what i mean by that is if you have it set to record sterns show in the morning and have the mp3 player sitting in your car cradle, it will wake up and only record 1 hour, so not to kill yhour car battery. this will only work if your cigg lighter is a constant 12 volts.
while in the home cradle, it will wake up and record for as long as you set it.

you can not transfer content off the built in flash card to your PC. however, you can transfer up to 512mb of mps/wma files into it.

The docking stations will have the fm transmitter built in them, not the actual mp3 player. the car cradle has the fm mod built in. i dont beleive the home cradle will.

we should see this in some stores by the middle of october, with wide availability in november.

out of the box you will be able to plug it into your home receiver and listen to your recorded content. you will not receive live siri programming, a seperate home kit will be available for that. it will come with a home dc adapter and rca cables.

Does anyone understand the format on Coffeehouse? Description is acoustic singer songwriters and they're playing Sinatra and Connick. Bring back Folktown! I'm listening to The Village on XMs trial version on the PC. If Sirius doesn't bring back some form of Folk Music, I guess I'll be forced to switch to XM. Sirius should take the money they're spending on Stern and bring back Folktown and maybe pick up and Americana station off the net like KPIG Santa Cruz.

i've just been told you cannot transfer content to a PC and that its not a live receiver to listen to live sirius radio. it just records (refreshes) content for later listening
