Fun with the display on Super Shuffle

Thursday, September 29, 2005

I really like this.. It really makes it look and sound random..

In place of liners or bumpers with a voice between song, there is a beep sound thing then the display looks like this.

Then like this..

Then the song starts, and the display also tells you what station number that song is normally played...

Now there is also some audio bumpers that sound like an 80's computer voice, both male and female.. Also some piffy things like.. "Super Shuffle.... What's Next?... I don't know.. " in a computer like voice then right into a song..

One bad thing.. The S-Seek is not working because of the added text on the display

i listened to some supershuffle this morning before i left for work. i thought it sounded great - not too much like a "jack fm" format like some (myself included) feared.

Well, I also like it.. I know alot of people think it is a Jack-FM type station, but I know Sirius wanted it to be its own thing.. I posted this back on Aug 31..

I like it too. It seems to be heavily favored to rock though (probably why I like it as much). I wonder if it is supposed to be completley random or if it goes through genre phases.

Seems to be completely random. Heard Waylon Jennings, Frank Sinatra, Kool & The Gang, Rollingstones, and Kenny Rogers this morning in the first 2 hours I listened. So far I think it's great

what if you like a song and want to memo it? it will never work because the artist has that played on channel blah message.

i thought of this as well - can someone around a tuner try it out - i'm curious to know. also, has anyone else had any trouble with their S-Seeks recently? I went on a trip this weekend and didn't hear one beep in the 10 hrs. we were on the road... :(

I've got shuffle on at work. It has been great so far. I'm going to try the others later.

Just curious, but what's the difference between it and Jack?

Go Sirius!

Yes.. I have been testing the S-seek on both The sportster Replay and Starmate Replay.. Not very good..
I have a Beatles Artiest seek set on my Starmate Replay.. It did not tell me that The Beatles were on, i just happen to tune to SS when they were on..
